Entropy and Health Sciences

Understanding Entropy in Health Sciences      This week's module covered an important topic when it comes to healthcare and medicine: Entropy. When we look at the way the system of medicine works, it is clear that there is a need for a deeper understanding of this concept. So what is entropy? According to the Dictionary, there are many different ways to define this unique term, but for the sake of health science, we are going with this definition:  " the   amount   of   disorder   or   the   degree   of   randomness   of   a   system" (Farlex, 2022). Retrieved September 18, 2022, from https://assignmentpoint.com/the-entropy/     After going through the material in this week's module, we were also assigned to research how entropy is applied to our future careers. Following this, we looked into how to construct a video on Adobe Express. I enjoyed learning how to get creative and use the video editing tool...

This week in Class: 6D Effect, Video Editing, and Law of Accelerating Returns

Technology Advancing with 6D Effect & Accelerating Returns Law This week in Technology for Leading and Learning we studied The 6D effect and its relevance in the modern world. We also looked at how to edit videos using Adobe Express. There were many different ways to trim, combine, and get creative with different settings for the videos. I ultimately decided to use the two separate videos I record to combine them into one and crop out a section that I did not need.  The 6D effect is interesting when it comes to the way things in technology advance. The 6 "Ds" in the 6D Effect stand for "Digitalization, deception, disruption, demonetization, dematerialization, and democratization". I think one of the most fascinating parts of this effect is the deception and how this plays a role on society. As a society, we are changing and growing as technology develops around us. It can definitely be deceptive at times what new technology is going to come out and change the w...

Looking at Module Two

In the second module of Technology for Leading and Learning, we covered a few new ideas that helped me grow as an individual using technology. The first concept that was introduced in this section was the 3r's research method and how it can be beneficial when discovering new pieces of information. The main focus of the module was on studying the importance and relevance of Moore's Law and learning how to make various edits using Adobe Express.  I found the 3r method to apply to my field of study in health sciences. Research, reading fast, and reflecting are three important abilities for one to utilize while searching for information that is on the internet. While searching for new ideas online can bring about many topics, it is crucial to narrow down the search to what you are really looking to get at to have a concise reflection. Too many ideas thrown at an individual from the internet may confuse and lead to misunderstandings, but if you learn the 3Rs, this can save time and ...
